Armadillo Man
I wanted to revisit a character concept I had made a couple years ago. I had originally designed the character for a game, but he got scrapped when that game went another direction. Armadillo Man is the guard of a Mayan temple, and gets special abilities from his bond with the local armadillos. He defends the temple with a heavy stone ball and chain.
The main reason I wanted to come back to this character was the fun proportions and musculature. In order to carry that stone chain, he needed to have that sturdy linebacker build.
The stylization also gave me the opportunity to make a highly optimized model.
