It Has Never Known Defeat

To continue with trying new things in animation, I did some dialogue! Since I typically work straight ahead, I wanted to work on my pose-to-pose skills. This method worked really well with facial expressions, but made some of the body movements less fluid. Getting the arcs to flow right with the sword was especially challenging. For these sections, I redid my keys (straight ahead this time). I like the workflow of combing the two. It lends itself to some nice overlapping action. Animation on this took about 9 hours, plus a few trying in vain to fix a render bug in Maya.
